Microsoft Unveils Native Copilot App for Windows 11

Microsoft has officially launched a native version of its Copilot app for Windows 11, addressing previous criticisms about its web-based nature. This update promises enhanced performance, a modernized user interface, and deeper integration with the operating system. 

Key Features of the Native Copilot App

1. Native XAML Design: The new Copilot app is built using the XAML framework, resulting in a more responsive and fluid user experience. This native design ensures better performance compared to its web-based predecessor. 
2. Enhanced User Interface: The app introduces a new side panel that allows users to start new conversations and access their conversation history with ease. This streamlined interface aligns with modern design principles, offering a cohesive look and feel within Windows 11. 
3. System Integration: Users can now ask Copilot questions about their PC, such as “How do I set up a Bluetooth headset on this device?” The app provides information tailored to the current version of Windows, making it a valuable assistant for troubleshooting and system navigation.
4. Voice Interaction: The updated Copilot supports voice input, allowing users to interact using natural language. This feature enhances accessibility and offers a hands-free experience for tasks and queries.
5. Image and File Uploads: Users can upload images and files directly within the app, enabling Copilot to provide contextually relevant assistance or generate content based on the provided media.

How to Install or Update the Copilot App

The native Copilot app (version 1.25023.101.0) is currently rolling out to Windows Insiders across all channels. To install or update the app:

1. For Windows Insiders:
   • Open the Microsoft Store.
   • Search for “Microsoft Copilot.”
   • Click “Update” to install the latest version.
2. For Non-Insiders:
   • Visit the store.rg-adguard.net website.
   • Select “Product ID” in the first drop-down list.
   • Enter 9NHT9RB2F4HD in the search bar and choose “Fast” in the second drop-down list.
   • Click the checkmark button to retrieve available packages.
   • Download the file named Microsoft.Copilot_1.25023.106.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.appxbundle.
   • Open the downloaded file and click “Update” when prompted.
   • Launch the updated Copilot app.

Note: The update is being rolled out gradually, so some users might experience a delay in availability.
