Motorola’s Edge 50 series offers two compelling smartphones: the Edge 50 Pro and the Edge 50 Fusion. While they share some similarities, each device is tailored to meet different user preferences and needs. Design and Build

Both smartphones boast a sleek design with a vegan leather finish and are IP68-rated for water and dust resistance. The Edge 50 Pro measures 161.2 x 72.4 x 8.2 mm and weighs 186 grams, whereas the Edge 50 Fusion is slightly larger at 161.9 x 73.1 x 7.9 mm but lighter, weighing 175 grams. Color options for the Edge 50 Pro include Luxe Lavender and Black Beauty, while the Edge 50 Fusion is available in Hot Pink, Marshmallow Blue, and Forest Green. 

Display

Both devices feature a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. However, the Edge 50 Pro offers a higher resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels and a peak brightness of 2000 nits, compared to the Edge 50 Fusion’s 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and 1600 nits peak brightness.

Performance

Under the hood, the Edge 50 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. In contrast, the Edge 50 Fusion houses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, with similar RAM options and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Camera

The Edge 50 Pro boasts a versatile triple-camera setup: a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, it offers a 50MP front camera. The Edge 50 Fusion features a dual-camera system comprising a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide lens, along with a 32MP front-facing camera. 

Battery and Charging

The Edge 50 Pro is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery supporting 125W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. On the other hand, the Edge 50 Fusion comes with a larger 5,000mAh battery but supports 68W wired charging without wireless charging capabilities. 

Price

In India, the Edge 50 Pro is priced at Rs. 29,749, while the Edge 50 Fusion is more affordable at Rs. 20,999.
